I don't know what rights the WHO has but I don't like the fact that they control the World Health as though all decisions countries are to make must come from them. Some of the executives in that organization are not even medical experts. I believe Africa has even more qualified and experienced Doctors than those in the organization. Therefore, our Governments can consult our own Doctors. Period.

nice move by the world health organisation. African countries should ease the restrictions so quickly for it may lead to an increase in more covid cases and unfortunately they are not taking it serious to test those in rural areas which is bad

Others, like Morocco, have reintroduced restrictions after a resurgence of cases.

“As Africa approaches one million cases, the continent is at a pivotal point,” Dr Moeti said at a press conference on Thursday.

She noted that five countries accounted for nearly 75% of all cases in Africa.

According to the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, about three out of four of all the reported cases and deaths on the continent were reported in South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria and Sudan.

It is a timely warning from WHO so that African leaders should take precautions,it is also a delight to know that African leaders no that the majority in Africa are engaged in hand to mouth jobs hence lockdown will not do them any good
