Assemble all milking equipment such as buckets or milking canes, sieves,feed and ropes
Make sure you the Milker you have short nails and hair must be covered to avoid contamination of the milk
Put the cow in the milking crush(parlour) and tie the hind legs(back legs)with a rope.
Wash the udder and tits with warm water containing a suitable sanitizing agent.
Dry the udder with a clean cloth.
Allow the calf to suck the mother's udder to stimulate the milk late down and do not disturb the cow or else it will hold up the milk and stop.
Use a strip cup to check for mastitis by drawing on strim of milk and from each tit into stip cup.
Apply milking jelly on the tit to avoid cracking.
Follow the milking technique of applying pressure to the outside of the tit while holding the tit between the index finger and the thumb.
Weigh and record from each cow after milking
Strain milk as it is put into the milking canes
Wash all equipment nicely as well as the milking parlour.
